The M.G. Parker Library is searching for an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join us as our Assistant Circulation Librarian. The Assistant Circulation Librarian performs customer service and administrative duties relating to the circulation of library materials, as well as other related work as required.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the principals and practices of professional library work; knowledge of computer systems, software, and information technology; knowledge of library policies and procedures and information resources. The ability to use available resources to provide library service to library patrons; ability to interact with and provide assistance to patrons with a wide variety of needs and abilities; ability to work accurately with detailed information; ability to work independently; and the ability to adapt to changing technologies is essential.
This position requires at least an Associate’s Degree; two years of library experience or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This is a full-time, 35 hour per week position, paying $17.77 – $25.29 per hour in ten steps, plus a generous benefits package.
