Resource Sharing Librarian, Clark University Libraries, Worcester, MA

Clark University Libraries seeks an energetic, collaborative, tech-savvy and service-oriented professional for the position of Resource Sharing Librarian at the Robert H. Goddard Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing traditional interlibrary loan and digital resource delivery services including document delivery, pay-per-view access, digital transmission and storage applications, and related activities. This position provides management of the interlibrary loan unit including, but not limited to, implementing procedures, evaluating and determining workflow and processes, and planning enhancements. The incumbent will have supervisory responsibilities for student workers and oversight for related Access Services non-exempt staff activities.

Reporting to the Head of Public Services, the successful candidate will also provide Reference Desk services, including weekends and evenings. S/he will carry responsibilities for outreach and instruction or collections development, as needed. S/he will participate in new or enhanced Library and reference services and related digital initiatives, including those for new online programs.

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in library/information science from ALA-accredited institution. Other qualifications include: strong commitment to service excellence at all academic levels; reference and instructional experience in an academic library; strong, positive communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated knowledge of and experience with current and emerging trends, technologies, and assessment and best practices related to library reference and instructional services; and ability to communicate an understanding of the purposes and role of the library in the contemporary university and college environment. Candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years ILLiad and/or OCLC Worldshare ILL experience.  Must demonstrate an ability to multitask, prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff. 1 – 2 years academic reference experience as well as supervisory experience is desired.
