The Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) New England Chapter is hosting a webinar that will present a vibrant and diverse look at what is currently happening in the field of art and visual resources librarianship.

We seek proposals from art or visual resources professionals who are eager to share and discuss a project, initiative, or development.  Participation is not limited to ARLIS/NA members; we are interested in hearing from anyone whose work relates to studio art, art history, cultural heritage, visual literacy, still/moving image management, or archival preservation in the visual arts. Proposals from all experience levels are welcome.

Possible presentation topic examples:

  • Space planning/redesign projects
  • Collection digitization initiatives
  • Digital humanities projects
  • Innovative approaches to information literacy instruction
  • Outreach/marketing initiatives
  • Innovative approaches to management, supervision, or team building

The webinar will be conducted in a lightning talk format. Each presenter will be allotted 7 minutes and 7 slides (if desired) to discuss their topic. There will be time for audience questions at the conclusion of the event.

Proposals are due September 14 and may be submitted here. Presenters will be notified by September 25.

The webinar will be co-moderated by Ashley Peterson (ARLIS/NA NE Chapter President) and Amber Welch (Chapter Secretary). Please direct questions to Ashley Peterson at [email protected].

We look forward to hearing your ideas!
