ASAP Need for a Digital Archivist! This is a contract that will be 6 month to possibly one year!
We are looking for an Archivist who will thrive on creating well organized, user friendly, and easy to access graphic asset archives for Hasbro’s busy Global Licensing business.
Ideally you have organized and managed the archiving of large amounts of graphic art assets and have created user friendly access to them in a DAM system.
You must be self motivated, well organized and reliable. Again, we are looking for someone who thrives on organization and providing assets.
This is not a design position or the pathway to a design position.
Primary job functions:
- Partner with Licensing Creative Team, Project Managers and PDS team to onboard content into our DAM for use by a global user base.
- Provide highly sensitive content in a secure manner.
- Build strong relationships with Creative Team, Project Managers and PDS teams globally
- Handle tight deadlines with diplomacy and tact
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Open Text software and related image an video applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Apple Final Cut, Web CMS solutions and Flash)
- Experience with Search technologies, information architecture and standard user patterns.
- Active listening and the ability to restate the the thoughts of others accurately.
- Passion for content management
- A desire and knack for educating others about the value of content management and how it will be useful to them
- Command of current records management practices, trends, and issues and of archival theory, standards, and best practices–especially as they relate to the issues associated with born digital content
- Advanced proficiency in the technology and workflows associated with content, document, and electronic records management; digital archiving; digital asset management; format validation and conversion methods; data integrity techniques; and long-term storage planning.
- Familiarity with trends in arrangement, description, and management of born-digital materials
- Familiarity with descriptive metadata and data structure standards and schemas

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MS in Library Sciences highly desirable
