The selected candidate will play an important role in helping make the Library a stimulating place for people of all ages to engage, connect and utilize all the best resources. He/she will be a wizard at teaching patrons and staff how to use technology from e-readers to on-line databases. This is the ideal position for an engaging professional who understands patrons’ needs and enjoys connecting them with the right solutions and who is a sleuth at heart.

The selected candidate will be excited to develop and learn in a fast-paced changing environment; will have a degree from an accredited graduate library school (MLS degree); progressive experience in a library or similar knowledge-based environment and advanced computer skills. A willingness to help and work in any area of the library; outstanding interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication and research skills are required.

The position averages 14 hours a week and includes two day shifts, at least one evening a week and a Saturday rotation. Flexibility to work other hours as needed may be required. The salary range is 28.343-33.762 in six steps.
