ERC Evening Supervisor/Educational Technology Assistant, Boston College, Boston, MA

Responsible for the management of all library operations during the evening hours and on Sunday. In addition to assisting at the circulation desk, providing technical support, and supervising student employees, this position works collaboratively with the LSOE faculty, staff and students in support of the pedagogical application of technology in an educational environment. This position is responsible for assisting with and overseeing software and hardware in the computer lab, troubleshooting computer problems and assisting students with multi-media projects and assignments as well as managing the ERC course reserves. This position also assists in providing access to the ERC collections by end-processing, packaging and labeling library materials. The Evening Supervisor will collaborate with ERC staff to plan and enhance all library services.
This position requires the following work schedule:
Sunday 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
In addition this position requires a Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.schedule during school vacations when the library has reduced hours.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, educational technology training and experience in academic libraries preferred. Excellent customer service and organizational skills are necessary.
