Reference Librarian, Perry Public Library, Perry, OH

The Perry Public Library has an opening for a part-time Reference Librarian. This position will be part of a team of outstanding reference librarians serving the Perry community. The duties for the employee in this position include:
- Reference Desk – Work at reference desks at assigned times to assist patrons with questions, computer use, eMedia, placing holds, etc.
- Adult Programs – set up programs geared towards adult patrons including Summer Reading Program
- Acquisitions, weeding and cataloging of audio books and movie collection
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from ALA accredited library school.
- Able to work days, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Prior public library experience.
Will Consider
- Bachelor’s degree with some of the above Qualifications and/or experience in setting up programs.
Salary and Benefits:
Based on experience, beginning at $14.91 per hour for qualified candidate with Master’s degree in Library Science; based on experience, beginning at $14.25 for qualified candidate with Bachelor’s degree.
The Library participates in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
This position does not receive paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and personal time benefits.
Schedule:
- Monday – Off
- Tuesday – 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm
- Wednesday – 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Thursday – 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm
- *Friday – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- *Saturdays – 10:30 am – 4:00 pm
* Fridays and Saturdays on an alternating basis.
