Reporting to the Regulatory Documentation Systems Specialist, the Archivist Intern will support the receipt and filing of documentation to support the Clinical, Non-Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Quality functions. The successful candidate will organize and review documentation for Trial Master Files, Data Sets, and other files as needed. This function will work closely with the above functional heads to determine filing structures and organizational filing processes that will facilitate the process of archiving files off-site and the process for recalling needed documentation from storage. This paid position will run for 2 months with a possible extension.
Required Skills:
- Support the Clinical team in quality checking trial master files and ensuring appropriate documentation from Contract Research Organizations is of archival quality.
- Assist multiple functional areas in developing a filing structure and utilize this structure for filing of historical Akebia documentation.
- Perform quality control reviews on all documents to be sent to off-site archive location.
- Collect and ensure metadata is correct for all documents to be archived.
- Contribute to developing and ensuring compliance with the Iron Mountain Connect and overall processes for sending archiving documentation off-site.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Currently working to obtain or have obtained within the last two years a degree in Library and Information Science and/or Archival Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- An interest in learning about the archival processes within a biopharmaceutical corporation
- Interest/experience in the biopharmaceutical field a plus
