Our succession plan worked! With our new Director (formerly Associate Director) happily in place, we are excitedly seeking a newAssociate Director. We want an enthusiastic thought leader with experience in advancing community engagement and inventive, exceptional customer service.

This position reports to the Library Director and serves as second in command. Possessing a broad and deep level of understanding of Library administration and experience in Library and staff leadership and management is essential.

The Associate Director excels in interpersonal communications and inspires and motivates staff while fostering continual growth and development in a climate of trust and respect.

The successful candidate leads the Library’s public service strategy and customer service experience. He/she leads and supervises the leadership of the Customer Experience Team.

This opportunity requires a detail oriented person who can take the lead in Library communications, as well as internal Library project planning and coordination. This position is also responsible for space management and development and documentation of administrative processes and procedures.

Qualified applicants must have an ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library Science and five years of professional leadership in libraries or an information-based environment demonstrating progressively responsible management experience.

This position offers a salary range of $67,000 – $97,999 (DOE), and anattractive benefits package. Preference will be given toapplications received by July 31, 2015.
