Librarian – Part-time, Riverview School, East Sandwich, MA

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create independent learners by fostering students’ research, information literacy, technology, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Work with students to strengthen the love of reading
• Assist teachers in gathering resources to engage students in learning experience tailored to the individual needs of student
• Work directly with students, teachers, and the curriculum to integrate materials in a variety of formats, including printed, digital, and video resources 
• Develop a resource base for the school by using the curriculum and student interests to identify and obtain library materials, organize and maintain the library collection in order to promote independent reading and lifelong learning
• Locate, evaluate, and synthesize information
• Manage activities associated with the library media program including budgeting, collection development, promotion, instruction, and facilities
• Oversee student interns

Requirements:

• Massachusetts license preferred
• Master’s degree preferred
• 3+ years related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred)
• Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
• Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education
• Strong technology skills
