Evening Circulation Assistant, Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH

SNHU is currently seeking an Evening Circulation Assistant. Candidate will work with the Evening and Weekend Supervisor, the Evening Circulation Supervisor assists students, faculty, staff and public at the Library’s Information Desk during evening and/or weekend hours.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Locate and check out library material in a variety of formats
  • Answer directional questions and basic reference questions
  • In the absence of the Evening and Weekend Supervisor, supervises student workers, ensures building security, maintains scheduled operational hours, and troubleshoots equipment issues (printers/scanners, laptops, microfilm/fiche readers, computers, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Competency with windows-based PC

Preferred Qualifications:

Library experience in an academic setting is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally lifting 20+ pounds, occasionally pushing/pulling 50+ pounds, standing, walking, bending, crouching.

Work Hours:

Typically 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Sunday through Wednesday (hours will vary during summers and holidays).
