ACI Worldwide powers electronic payments for financial institutions, retailers, and processors around the world with its broad and integrated suite of electronic payment software, which includes back-office and online banking solutions.
The ACI UX/UI team is made up of ten individuals with over 120yrs of combined experience and a ton of passion for UX/UI.

Primary Responsibilities
- Practice an Experience Innovation (XI) approach to designing kick-ass user experiences for a wide range of users
- Design and conduct field research with end-users to assess context of use, identify unmet needs, and define opportunities for innovation. Turn findings into actionable user and design requirements through data analysis.
- Design and prototype information architecture/UI interaction solutions that reflect an understanding of the balance between efficiency, ease of use, user satisfaction, and business goals.
- Produce comprehensive UX Design Specs that include detailed wireframes and concrete use cases.
- Create mid-fidelity prototypes to communicate and test design concepts
- Conduct assessment methods such as usability testing, heuristic analyses, UI reviews, complexity measures, KLM GOMS, etc. Turn data into actionable information through data analysis and formal reports. Communicate findings to x-functional teams.
- Bring a high degree of passion to the role and contribute to the overall UX/XI discussion at ACI
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Human Factors, User Experience Design, HCI, LIS, or related discipline
- Portfolio that demonstrates skills and understanding in user centered design methodologies, with an emphasis on user research
- Experience working on a high-tech UX team in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment:
- 1-2 yrs for Associate level
- 2-5 yrs for straight UXD level
- 5-10 yrs for Senior level
- Fundamental understanding of
- Field research methods such as interviews, contextual inquiry, focus groups, surveys, roundtable usability testing, etc.
- Usability testing methods, such as formative, summative, moderated, automated, remote, local, RITE, etc.
- Persona development, task analysis, design heuristics, and use cases (abstract and concrete)
- Information architecture concepts, conceptual design, and detail design
- Ability to interpret product requirements from a user-centered as opposed to feature-centered perspective
- Proficiency with standard prototyping tools such as Axure to create screen mockups, lo-mid fidelity prototypes, and design concepts
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Preferred:
- Experience designing for mobile and tablet
- Familiarity with agile development
- Knowledge of the banking and payments industry
