The New Bedford Whaling Museum is seeking 1-2 capable students to help moving the Research Library’s collection from its current space into a newly built facility. The Library collection includes whaling logbooks and journals, manuscripts, books, rare books, account books, banking records, newspapers, and various types of photographic media. Tasks would include packing, lifting, and cataloging, and students would be expected to meet the physical requirements of the job. The Museum is prepared to offer financial compensation for 20 – 35 hours per week during the months of July and August. Please contact Mark Procknik at [email protected] if you are interested.
