Dana Hall School seeks a full-time Middle School Librarian to work in the Helen Temple Cooke Library. The Middle School Librarian is a member of the Middle School faculty and participates in all aspects of Middle School life. As such, they serve as the library department liaison to the Middle School and collaborate with teachers to plan and co-teach research projects and information literacy initiatives. Qualified candidates will have experience teaching information literacy skills, planning library activities with teachers, and integrating technology into the library curriculum. The ideal candidate will be creative, cheerful, energetic, flexible, and collegial and have a strong knowledge of young adult literature. He or she should be comfortable with rapidly changing technologies and have experience providing library services to young people in an academic environment. Candidates with experience in cataloging, systems, database and website management are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, academic year position with scheduled weekend and evening hours. An MLIS from an accredited program is required; one to three years of instructional experience with young people in a public or school library is preferred.
