AccuFile is seeking a highly organized individual with excellent records management skills for a full-time, direct hire position within the Boston area. The candidate will support all records management activities in accordance with the company’s record retention schedule. The right candidate must be comfortable working with highly confidential information. Great potential for movement within the company.
Requirements:
- Prepare, scan, and index office documents utilizing the Kofax scanning processes into OpenText eDocs (Hummingbird), the document management system, in a timely manner.
- Act as the liaison for the office and the vendor in retrieving or returning archival boxes or files, assisting with the annual box destruction process, and in supporting document shredding pickups and deliveries
- In accordance with the Office’s Record Retention Schedule, transfer records into archival boxes or files, index the contents into inventories, and bar code the boxes or files for submittal to a commercial vendor.
- Prepare records for offsite warehouse storage as necessary.
- Maintain an offsite records retrieval log and follow-up on borrowed materials according to a set schedule.
- Maintain multiple inventories to properly track document storage and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Will consider Associate’s degree with records experience.
- MLIS a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of the field of records and information management.
- Strong experience in managing and working in a team environment, as well as being an independent strong self-starter.
- Excellent ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, meeting milestones and benchmarks on time
- Maintain confidentiality of all client materials
- Possess strong time management, communication, attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
