Reference Librarian (part-time), Bedford Free Public Library, Bedford, MA

The Bedford Free Public Library is seeking a customer-focused individual to fill the position of Reference Librarian. This position reports to the Head of Reference and involves providing outstanding service to patrons of all ages at our public service desks. In addition, this person will participate in adult collection development and other professional tasks; troubleshoot library equipment; provide computer and Internet instruction; keep current with developing technology; have demonstrated aptitude with eBooks and all other digital content as well as social media; and work closely with the Head of Reference.

Qualifications:

• MLIS or MLS degree from an ALA accredited institution.
• May consider MLIS candidates.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, additional world language skills are helpful.

Wage/Salary:

$23.15 per hour, no benefits
