The Standish Library at Siena College seeks an Assistant Librarian to manage Circulation/Reserves and Interlibrary Loan services with a working knowledge of related technologies. The Access Services Librarian will enhance patron access to library collections and services, facilitated by creative uses of appropriate technologies and outreach strategies. This person will also provide technical support to a team of librarians for various projects and initiatives. This is a 12 month non-tenure track library faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Librarian and reports to the Director of the Library. Required: ALA accredited MLS degree. 2 years post-MLS academic library experience. Experience with library automation systems and resource sharing systems/software. Demonstrated experience developing online library services using current technologies. Effective interpersonal, written and online communication skills. Desired: Familiarity with Innovative Interfaces Millennium (or Sierra) systems and INN-Reach collaborations. Familiarity with Blackboard or similar education technology/course management systems. Supervisory experience. Teaching experience. Collection Development experience. Availability: September, 2015
