Archive Internship, New Hampshire Public Radio, Concord, NH

New Hampshire Public Radio has been documenting NH history since 1981. There are tens of thousands of stories in our archives, many of them are locked in media that are not easily accessed. The Archive Initiative seeks to unlock those media through digitization and meta-data capture, and make them more easily accessible to the public.

This position assists the Production Manager in managing NHPR’s ever-increasing archive of audio. In addition to organizing the assets, the intern will also digitize legacy audio stored on legacy media; collect and create meta-data; suggest ideas and stories and write for NHPR’s From the Archives blog. We’re looking for a detail-oriented history buff to help us sort through it all.

New Hampshire Public Radio is an award-winning station that delivers news, information, analysis, arts and entertainment programming to more than 177,000 weekly listeners across the state and region. New Hampshire Public Radio’s mission is to help create a more informed public, one challenged and enriched by a deeper understanding and appreciation of state, national and worldwide events, ideas and culture.
