Library Intern, Waban Library Center, Waban, MA
Posted May 11, 2015
The WLC in Waban is looking for graduate students who are interested in working a minimum of two – three hours per week this summer at our small community run library. Our summer schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and two Saturdays per month from 10:00 -1:00. The Wednesday and Thursday hours are not set as yet, but will likely be 12:00 – 4:00. The Tuesday schedule is 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Work starts a week after local schools close, and ends in mid August. This is a good way for students to get involved with community service, and help us at the same time.
The work involves typical library work plus helping us with Story Time and occasional crafts projects with children. There are many options for the interns to create new projects and be involved with them. Students who are interested in computers will be given the opportunity to aid us in our social media.
Please check our library out at www.wabanlibrarycenter.org, or on our facebook page.
A personal interview must be scheduled at a convenient time. Interested students are encouraged to write us at [email protected] or call us at (617) 244-0700.
