The Colgate University Libraries seek a highly productive, innovative and user-oriented Information Literacy Librarian to advance the Libraries’ educational mission by providing leadership in the design, implementation and promotion of the Libraries’ information literacy curriculum. Reporting to the Head of User Services, and working closely with colleagues in the Research and Instruction Department, the successful candidate will coordinate a team of instruction librarians to achieve a multi-faceted instruction program as well as actively participate in research assistance and classroom instruction. The Information Literacy Librarian is directly responsible for the foundational portion of the information literacy curriculum, which focuses upon first and second year students and supporting their transition between high school and college. Another area of special attention includes the Major-Specific portion of the information literacy curriculum, which will be developed in cooperation with the university’s academic departments and programs.
