Duties/Description:

The Wellesley Free Library seeks an On-call Reference Librarian to work in the Reference Department on an “as needed” basis. Reporting to the Reference Services Supervisor, the primary responsibility is to provide exemplary customer service to the public by responding to requests for specific information. Duties include showing patrons how to search for and locate information; providing technology instruction and reader advisory service.

Qualifications:

MLS; one to three years of reference experience; exemplary customer service behaviours, technology instruction experience, expert searching skills, the ability to work independently and to troubleshoot computer hardware and software.

Salary:

$23.50 per hour; no benefits
