Lead Circulation, Reserves, Scan & Copy Center, Microform and Stacks services during key hours of library operation. Provide public information services for all questions about use of the library and collection including triaging reference questions when the Research Center is closed. Supervise full time library staff and over twenty student employees, including overseeing extended building closing during academic semesters and orderly opening and closing of the building. Assist the Head of Circulation in all department operations as member of library management team, contributing to the development of the Library as a learning organization. Organize work and assess work priorities. Possess good technology skills, with ability to adapt to new interfaces, platforms, and configurations of library and other systems. Familiarity with web-based scholarly resources, including library search interface, staff system, databases and journals highly desirable. Observe and train staff and student employees in library ethical practice of confidentiality about information seeking behavior of library users.
The hours for this position are Sunday 9:45 am – 5:45pm and Mon-Thurs 4:00 pm to 12:00 am.
B.A./B.S. required. Three to five years library experience or equivalent; one to two years supervisory experience or equivalent.
