Bookkeeper/Library Outreach, Three Rivers Regional Library Regional Office, Jesup, GA

This position creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals in Blackbaud accounting software from source documents such as invoices, cash receipts, payroll, bank reconciliation, tax payments, and auditing requirements. Library experience will be helpful and a master’s degree in library science (MLS) would allow for this position to expand to library outreach.

Qualifications:

The bookkeeper candidate should have degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of Blackbaud accounting software package. Library experience will be helpful and a master’s degree in library science (MLS) would allow for this position to expand to library outreach.

  13. Flexibility to adapt to changing work situations
  14. Good vision and hearing
  15. Manual dexterity to operate computer and phone equipment
  16. Physical mobility
  17. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving history, and personal automobile for job-related transportation
  18. Satisfactory criminal background check, a motor vehicle record check, fulfill I9 requirements, and pre-employment drug screening (if required)
  19. Ability to learn and efficiently operate library computer system and program
