Reference/Adult & Young Adult Services Librarian, Ipswich Public Library, Ipswich, MA

The Town of Ipswich seeks qualified candidates for the full-time (37.5 hours), union position of Reference/Adult & Young Adult Services Librarian. Plans, organizes and delivers a variety of adult services, including adult programs, adult reference, reader’s advisory services, technology assistance, as well as young adult services and programs. Assists in the formulation of policies and programs. Responsible for collection development of non-fiction and reference materials and services within overall library budget. In consultation with the Children’s Department, shares in the delivery of library services to young adults. Frequent contact with the public and outside agencies and organizations. Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited graduate library school of recognized standing with one to three years’ experience in reference services or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provide the required knowledge, skills and ability.
