Temporary Bookmobile Librarian, North Shore area, MA

BiblioTemps®, a short-term staffing service of the Massachusetts Library System, is seeking candidates for a temporary Bookmobile Librarian for one of our public library clients. The schedule for this full-time assignment will be 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The placement will begin approximately March 15 and continue through mid-June.

Duties:

• Drives bookmobile to various locations around city, including assisted living centers, schools, daycares, and neighborhood;
• Assists patrons in selecting books and placing requests;
• Prepares book bags for some teachers and daycare providers;
• Does home delivery for some patrons who cannot be reached by bookmobile;
• Checks books and materials in and out on bookmobile using laptop with wireless connection.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE CDL LICENSE and clean driving record;
• MLS from accredited library school, with 2+ years of experience;
• Ability to search for materials and do circulation via a laptop;
• Evergreen ILS experience is preferred.
