The Bedford Free Public Library in Bedford, Massachusetts (pop.14, 500) is seeking a forward-thinking, enthusiastic librarian who enjoys working with teens to be responsible for all teen programming and the Young Adult collection. This person will provide readers advisory assistance to teens and parents, encourage use of the Library by teens, and will serve as our outreach coordinator to local secondary school teachers and librarians. The candidate is expected to provide weekly programming for teens on Wednesday afternoons during the school year.

This position reports to the Head of Reference and involves providing outstanding service to all patrons at our busy reference desk. In addition, this person will participate in adult collection development and other professional tasks; troubleshoot library equipment; provide computer and Internet instruction; keep current with developing technology; have demonstrated aptitude with eBooks and all other digital content as well as social media; and work closely with the Head of Reference.

Wage/Salary: $48,339-$64,049
