Responsibilities:
The Special Projects Library Assistant supports the creation of the New England Prescription Images Database Project.
- Work with a pharmacist/pharmacy student to interpret and transcribe handwritten prescriptions from the period of 1876-1915.
- Provide computer support for the project, including data entry, manipulation of scanned images and metadata creation.
- Research information for transcription.
- Consult with the pharmacists as an integral part of the project.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a MS program in Library and Information Science
- Knowledge of MS Office products, in particular MS Access
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible schedule
