Library Director, Lee Public Library, Lee, NH

The Lee Public Library Board of Trustees seeks a creative, dynamic and motivated Library Director with strong public service and organizational skills. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the library; supervising four experienced part time staff; developing and implementing the budget; planning and marketing library collections and acquisitions; promoting programs for all ages; working closely with the Library Board of Trustees to set goals and policies. The Library Director will also be closely involved with the proposed building of a new library community center.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills; promote a welcoming and customer-service oriented library; possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work cooperatively in a team-centered environment and maintain an effective working relationship with the Board of Trustees, the Select Board, Library staff, Town officials and community boards and commissions.

Requirements: MLS from an accredited graduate program with a minimum of 3 years of professional library experience and 2 years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of a library-building project is helpful.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. This is a full time position with benefits.
