The Rockingham Free Public Library in Bellows Falls, VT seeks an intern with an interest in archival photograph collections to assist with an NEH grant-funded rehousing project. The project will focus on glass plate and large format photograph rehousing and cataloging. More details about the grant and our specific award can be found at: http://www.neh.gov/news/press-release/2014-12-08
Training on rehousing will be given by a licensed paper conservator before the project begins and supervision will be provided by RFPL’s Reference and Historical Collections Librarian, who will also be working on the rehousing activities.
The work commitment is flexible but would ideally be a contribution of 6 hours a week starting in February and going until the project is finished in the summer of 2015.
