Duties:
Working in partnership with the Electronic Resources Librarian, the Technology Specialist will plan and implement a wide range of technology services and initiatives to support library functions. Duties include:
Install, maintain, configure, secure and troubleshoot multiple public usage PCs. Purchase necessary equipment and maintains accurate inventory records of library assets. Install, maintain and troubleshoot other electronic equipment and systems, including digital projectors, cameras, printers, scanners, barcode readers, tablets, etc. Diagnose hardware and software problems and implement solutions. Administer security software and systems on all public and staff computers. Maintain relationships with many different vendors for software, hardware and database needs. Provide support for library staff applications: Evergreen or similar integrated library systems, MS Outlook and other email software, MS Office suite, and Adobe Creative Suite CS4. Provide staff and patron support for a variety of web based applications and proprietary reference databases. Evaluate and recommend acquisition of electronic equipment and software. Arrange for
Compensation and Schedule:
This is a part time Library Administrative Assistant II position, with a rate of $18.59 to $22.17 per hour. This position is for 13 hours per week; a flexible schedule is allowed, but must include some daytime hours. This is a non-benefited position.
