Product Management Assistant, EBSCO, Ipswich MA

Position Overview 

Product Management Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Applies knowledge and skills to manage and ensure the quality, relevance and completeness of the content and features in specific database products and related products
    • Interacts with various EP departments on a variety of workflows and schedules, including Content Management, PM Ops, Marketing, Technology and Proprietary Publishing
    • Initiates and completes any and all projects and processes assigned, including, database cleanup, database creation, database management, product quality, value-add processing, research and log analysis
    • Conducts market research, competitive research and proposes product enhancements based on market needs and subject matter knowledge
    • Meets timeframes and rates required for Production and Development
    • Engages in long-term strategy planning and roadmap priorities
    • Assists with the marketing/communication plans
    • Completes any other tasks assigned by the Product Manager
    • Reports on activities in weekly reports and meetings to the Product Manager Skills 

Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in area of product/project development
    • Computer literate; 2 -4 years experience using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Access, PPT, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent verbal communication; Excellent written communication
    • Positive attitude & team player
    • Knowledge of Online Research Resources
    • Knowledge of Library Market (North America, plus if Int’l)

About the Product Management Department

When you join EBSCO as a Product Management Assistant, you will contribute your skills to the Product Management Department in Ipswich, MA. The Product Management department develops strategies for product lines, evaluates competition, identifies revenue opportunities for products, and selects the product portfolio on EBSCOhost®.
