The Special Projects Library Assistant supports the creation of the New England Prescription Images Database Project.

Work with a pharmacist/pharmacy student to interpret and transcribe handwritten prescriptions from the period of 1876-1915.

Provide computer support for the project, including data entry, manipulation of scanned images and metadata creation.

Research information for transcription.

Consult with the pharmacists as an integral part of the project.
Work schedule will not exceed 17 hours per week.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
Required:
-
Currently enrolled in a MS program in Library and Information Science

Knowledge of MS Office products, in particular MS Access

Excellent communication skills

Flexible schedule
