Teen Services Internship, Wayland Library, Wayland MA

The Wayland Library is looking for a part-time paid intern to work during after-school hours with our teens in our newly created teen space. The intern will help us create a “Maker Space” for teens in our library. The ideal candidate for this internship would be a current library science student with a specialty in teen services and a familiarity with young adult literature. The intern must be able to “connect” well with teens, be comfortable with social media, and with portable devices (like ipads). Duties would include reader’s advisory to teens and working on the Teen Page of the library’s website.
Schedule will be two 3-hour afternoon shifts during the school year. Pay is $15 an hour.
This position is funded by a two-year LSTA grant for “Serving Tweens and Teens”
