Summary:
The Office of Research/Donor Relations at Simmons College is seeking an individual proficient with online resources and prospect research techniques and tools.
As a key member of the Research team, the Research Coordinator conducts activities related to the building, maintenance and servicing of the major and planned gifts prospect pools.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be an effective writer and be persistent and imaginative in devising new ways to secure and analyze information of critical importance to the effective solicitation of principal and major gift prospects for the College.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work proactively, independently and with a strong commitment to customer service.
Position Requirements:
2+ years experience in development with a solid background in prospect research including an understanding of major gifts, donor relations/stewardship, moves management, data modeling, gift and planned gift vehicles (wills, trusts) and business, government and legal documents (IRS Form 990, SEC filings, property assessments etc).
Experience with information resources and publications is required, including fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge a plus), commercial on-line services (Lexis-Nexis desired), and database overlays (Blackbaud Analytics and/or Reeher Platform a plus).
Required Software Skills:
Raiser’s Edge, Lexis-Nexis, Blackbaud Analytics and/or Reeher Platform all preferred.
Scheduled Hours:
Occasional periods of high volume work.
