The Organization: Reuben Hoar Library, Littleton’s public library, has a stellar reputation and strong community ties. We have been serving Littleton since 1887 and are known for great customer service, honest staff, and dependable action.
The Job: We need to hire a reliable Office Coordinator (35 hours/week, benefits eligible) to help our library’s business office continue to run smoothly. Working under the general direction of the Library Director, responsibilities include providing secretarial and administrative services and moderately complex financial and purchasing work for the library – everything from staff scheduling to payroll to accounts payable. This person will also provide direct service to library customers, coordinate the library’s volunteer program, and help create, promote and conduct adult programming.
The Requirements: The successful applicant will have at least three years of progressively responsible experience as an office coordinator or administrative assistant; an Associate’s degree is desirable. This person will have a working knowledge of general business protocol as well as library principles and procedures. Proficiency in business/office software and social media applications is essential. Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills are a must too. Salary starts at $20.27 per hour plus benefits.
