Job Description:
This is a 15hr/week schedule during the academic year.
Worcester State University Library invites applicants for a part-time Library Assistant position available during the academic year (Fall and Spring). The position is part-time 15 hours per week with no benefits. The position provides customer service to students, faculty, staff and all members of the college community. Duties include renewing and discharging library books and materials; aiding library users in locating and using materials; verifying the proper location of books and materials; performing inventory control functions and assisting with collection management; participating in special projects and performing related work as required.
Supervision Received: Library Director or designee.
Requirements:
Applicants must have at least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a Library Assistant. Experience with library systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail, effective communication and outstanding customer service skills. Associate Degree and previous academic library experience desired. Ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service.

This is a 15 hour per week schedule at $15.63/hr.
Schedule: Monday 4-9 PM, Wednesday 4-9 PM, and Saturday 9-2 PM (Some flexibility with hours available. NOTE: Saturday hours required).
