Library Information Technology Assistant at Lebanon Public Libraries, Lebanon, NH

 

Applications are being accepted for the full time, 40 hour per week position of Library Information Technology Assistant as further described below. This is a grade 7, non bargaining positions with a pay range of $21.88/hr to $27.38/hr.

 

This is a para-professional position responsible for the management of the library’s computer software and infrastructure. The individual in this position will work with library staff and City of Lebanon Computer Services staff to plan for and coordinate the use and application of computer technology in the library. Works regularly scheduled public service desk hours, at both the Lebanon and Kilton libraries. Five (5) day work schedule with Saturday hours required as part of a rotation (occurs once every 4-5 weeks) and evening hours required once per week.

The position requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree, with one to three years prior experience in the use of library materials and evaluating library collections and acquisitions; one to three year’s experience supporting computer hardware and software systems.

 

The city’s library system includes the Kilton Public Library, the first LEED Gold public library in the state of New Hampshire when it opened in 2010, and the recently renovated Lebanon Public Library, a historic Carnegie building dating back to 1909. Lebanon, the hub of the Upper Valley, is home to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, one of the premier teaching hospitals in the country, and is next door to Hanover, the home of Dartmouth College.
