Seeking a Taxonomy Analyst to enhance the data underlying our web content contextualization platform. The platform effectively categorizes web content, which allows our ad server to deliver relevant, targeted advertising to right audience.
We are looking for a candidate that can:
- Gather and curate training data that powers our contextual natural language processing (NLP) engine used to identify important topics and entities within publisher web content
- Work with taxonomy group to enhance and build taxonomy database
- Construct guidelines and best practices for data management framework
- Build tests to verify the accuracy of the contextual engine
- Work closely with product & engineering teams to define and test product enhancements and apply new logic on production environment
- Work closely with operations team to define categorization guidelines of content publishers
- Assist with the development of custom targeting sets for client advertising campaigns
- Work in a team-oriented environment
- Willing to think outside the box to efficiently gather data, working around any limitations with existing tools
- Proactively recognize potential performance improvements and mitigate potential issues
Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
- 2+ years’ experience in library management position or related position such as keyword development for search advertisements
- Understanding of thesaurus principles and relationships
- Ability to identify terminology and relationships that will allow computer systems to extract concepts from unstructured text
- Experience working with open-source databases a plus
- Semantic knowledge
- Advertising industry experience is a plus
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Has excellent verbal, written, analytical and technical skills
- BS or MS in library science or related degree
