**This is a Less Than Half Time Position with up to 14 hours per week**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Modern Department and in collaboration with Technical Services, rehouses the Printernet Zine Collection of over 9,000 zines.
- Updates finding aid with updated restriction notes and box numbers.
- Performs quality control to ensure physical arrangement of materials matches information in the finding aid.
- May be asked to write library website and social media content about the collection, as time allows.

Additional Information/Comments:
The Houghton Library is the main repository for rare books and manuscripts within the College Library. The Modern Books and Manuscripts Department is the largest of its curatorial departments, with responsibility for materials 1800-present, and including substantial holdings in literature (Emily Dickinson, John Keats, Marguerite Yourcenar, Pedro Salinas, Gore Vidal, etc.), history, philosophy, and music, with a focus on American, European, and Russian materials.
Schedule/Hours:
Must be scheduled 9-5, Mon.-Fri.
Basic Qualifications:
– Completion of high-school degree.
– Comfortable with desktop and cloud-based office environments and software including Microsoft programs, especially Excel.
– Excellent attention-to-detail.
– Ability to work independently.
Additional Requirements:
– Currently working toward the MLIS degree.
– Demonstrated experience with archival description.
– Experience with ASpace platform a bonus.
– Familiarity with and interest in zines as a format.
