Director of Clinical Services, Heading Home, Inc., (Boston, MA)

Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Exempt
Annual Salary: $85,000 – $90,000
Reports To: Senior Director of Programs
 
OVERVIEW
The Director of Clinical Services at Heading Home is a senior management role at Heading Home.  The Director is responsible for all agency-wide clinical activities and the direct clinical supervision of designated clinical staff.  The Director will be responsible for supporting and refining the clinical infrastructure at Heading Home in partnership with the CEO, COO, Senior Director of Program Operations, and fellow department Directors. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Clinical skills; knowledge of behavioral health, homelessness, child welfare, substance
abuse, domestic violence, special needs and developmental disabilities

  • Development and execution of clinical training for staff
  • Clinical consultation, oversight, and evaluation for all programs
  • Participation in managed care initiatives, program development, and system design
  • Provides weekly individual and group supervision for clinical staff
  • Assists with revising and implementing program policies and procedures
  • Assists with developing new programs or services
  • Develops, creates, and implements continued partnerships with behavioral health providers/agencies, as well as other needed service resources for clients
  • Assist with the design and implementations of client assessments
  • Participates in case review sessions with staff and outside agencies
  • Evaluation and assessment skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Facilitates case presentations
  • May, as appropriate, oversee support and supervision for student interns in the human services field, including social work or mental health counseling students at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level

Sitting, standing, reaching above, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, traversing, thinking, speaking, writing, concentrating, interaction with others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Shared office in an open area within a large office building. Office is open to the public and visitors only by appointment. Position requires a minimum of four days onsite. Office is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work required
  • Independently licensed at the highest level, or LICSW
  • LICSW or LMHC with 5-7 years of supervisory experience post licensure preferred
  • LCSW with 7+ years supervisory experience considered
  • Five years full-time clinical supervision experience including a minimum of two years administrative experience
