The Warren Fellows program for future educators is accepting applications. The Fellowship takes place in Houston, TX on May 22-28, 2016, with applications due on April 8, 2016.

Established by the family of Joy Warren ’68, this all expense paid fellowship is a week-long program that introduces university students preparing as future educators and historians to teach the history of the Holocaust and other genocides. The program is also open to graduate and undergraduate students others who will deal with the public on historical aspects of the Holocaust and of modern-day genocides.

The Warren Fellowship develops a corps of educators who want to learn how to effectively teach about genocide and the Holocaust.

The fellowship takes place at Holocaust Museum Houston in Houston, Texas each spring. Twenty-five pre-service teacher educators and graduate students will be selected by a faculty and Museum panel and will be designated as Warren Fellows.

Once accepted to this prestigious fellowship, participants attend a six-day, expense-paid institute designed to immerse the Fellows in historical and pedagogical issues related to the Holocaust.

During the week, Fellows have the opportunity to meet and work with survivors of the Holocaust.
