DPHID serves as a hub for scientific publications, information and library sciences, systematic reviews and recommendations and public health genomics. The division collaborates with CDC’s Centers, Institutes and Offices and the public health community in producing, disseminating and implementing evidence-based information to strengthen public health science and improve public health decision-making.

We are looking for an experienced Information Manager who will set the direction in the operation of information and library systems. The person in this position will serve as an expert advisor and leading authority on information science, library science and information systems.

Some of the most important job requirements are to:

  • Provide leadership, oversight and direction in the development and operation of information and library systems.
  • Leverage information, library and computer sciences for a variety of audiences
  • Collaborate with the directors of National Library of Medicine and of the Library of Congress and other federal libraries to foster the greatest national information infrastructure between medicine and public health
  • Be directly responsible for the acquisition and dissemination of public health information resources for CDC’s Stephen B. Thacker Library and optimize the use of federal library and information center resources
