Elementary Age Services Supervisor (Librarian II), Suffolk Public Library, Suffolk, VA

We want you to take our services for elementary age children to new heights and increase our ability to reach new audiences as our Elementary Age Services Supervisor.

We are continually looking outside of our walls and evaluating how we can be most relevant and eective in a community that is quickly changing. Our Youth and Family Services Department are the front lines in programming and outreach for children ages 0-18 and their caregivers, and their depth of knowledge and passion for community service sets the tone for much of what we do. Our expansion of elementary and tween services, #librarymade2016 maker initiative and the development of our STEM and technology programming are just the beginning of exciting new projects that you could help lead.

You love working collaboratively and developing new and exciting ways in which to expand the library’s reach.

Qualications

Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or closely related field, 3 to 5 years of related library experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Salary $41,657-$69,417

Requires a valid driver’s license. This position will close Friday, March 11th at 12:00PM EST.
