Assistant/Associate Professor (Coordinator of Technical Services), Volpe Library, Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, TN

Volpe Library at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for an innovative, energetic and collaborative Coordinator of Technical Services to lead, coordinate, and administer the Library’s Technical Services Department, encompassing Acquisitions, Electronic Resources/Serials, Government Documents, and Cataloging/Metadata Services. The Coordinator of Technical Services will also be responsible for developing and leading a new data curation effort. The position manages a staff of eight engaged in procurement, organization, description, and maintenance of library materials in all formats and online access to information for effective discovery and delivery to library patrons. This person will lead our ongoing efforts to enhance and streamline Technical Services processes and services through development of practical solutions that may include creative problem-solving, workflow analysis, assimilation of multiple perspectives and continual exploration and adoption of new technological skills and tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution, or equivalent. Minimum five years of increasingly responsible, professional, relevant work experience in an academic library.
