Social Media Assistant, Knowledge for Impact, Virtual/Boston Area, MA

Assist a small KM consultancy with Social Media Presence and information pieces.

The full range of techniques to:  Identify, Captured, Organize, Use and Re-use information and knowledge, and contribute to building a “learning Organization”

Are you a strong writer? Do you really enjoy culling key ideas from articles to craft something new or respond to an organization’s information challenges 

Tasks – In order of importance  

  • Curate and Execute online communication through social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), the Knowledge for Impact website, and contributions to other web-based groups and boards
  • Assist with setting up Facebook and LinkedIn business pages
    • Update & contribute to LinkedIn page, the website
  • Prepare and edit materials that speak to the needs of the marketplace
  • Draft content and manage e-communications to current/potential clients, and other constituencies

Skills & qualities for this work

  • Facility with Information Design
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work flexibly, creatively, and collaboratively in a small office working environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), WordPress (the website is built on WordPress.org), and social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)

Work is primarily virtual; Occasional in-person meetings at CIC co-working space in Kendall Sq., or at Simmons
Compensation: $12.50
Time commitment: 10–15 hrs/week (flexible)
