We are a library committed to meeting our patrons where they are in our city that spans 430 square miles in SE Virginia. We have solidified our commitment to addressing the quickly changing needs by making bold choices when it comes to technology and the resources we offer.

Our Technology & Content Department includes staff and services working on creative and effective technological solutions, dynamic and responsive collections, and innovative acquisitions processes and tools. We want to connect the Suffolk community to us and to each other whether that is online or in-person. Our new 3D printers and upcoming #librarymade initiative and the imminent purchase of a new Techmobile are just the beginning of exciting new projects that you could help lead.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or closely related field and 3 to 5 years of related library experience and some supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Salary:

$49,198 – $81,983

Requires a valid driver’s license.
