Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning, the librarian will be responsible for ensuring the health, vibrancy, and relevance of the resources available to the School community through the M. Burch Tracy Ford Library. This is a full-time, 10-month position.

  • In collaboration with faculty, develop reading lists, summer reading lists, app lists, and website lists for student use or parent resources. Develop online presence featuring curated lists of books and websites, and librarian “picks” for the season.
  • Prepare, with colleagues, an annual budget for collection development (books, periodicals, and electronic resources), and hardware and software purchases.
  • Keep abreast of current practices and issues in librarianship, information literacy, and academic technology; maintain a vibrant professional network.
  • Curate the School’s extensive archives: cataloging, stewarding, and displaying School artifacts, as well as work with the Alumni and Development Offices in advance of the School’s 175th anniversary.
  • Supervise two evening study halls per week while school is in session.
