Part time Research and Instruction Services Librarian, Northeastern University, Boston, MA

Northeastern University Libraries are offering an opportunity for a recent library school graduate to develop skills in reference, library instruction, collection development, and liaison activities for a six month, 35 hours per week period, starting on September 1st.  The position is for September through November 2015 and January through March 2016. 

The successful candidate shall be trained to and will eventually become responsible for these activities in assigned disciplines.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in working with and supporting undergraduate and graduate students and faculty in a research institutional setting.

Qualifications:

  • ALA accredited MLS degree. 
  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty, students and library colleagues. 
  • An aptitude to present and instruct to individuals and groups.
