Head of Education, Research, and Clinical Services, Biomedical Libraries, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH

Responsible for leading, directing, and actively participating as part of a team of biomedical librarians engaged in supporting the educational, research, and patient care missions of the Geisel School of Medicine, The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI), The Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science (TDC), the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), and Dartmouth College Department of Biological Sciences. Participates as a member of the administrative team of the Biomedical Libraries.

Minimum Experience

  • Five years post-MLS or equivalent in an academic health sciences or life sciences library.
  • Experience designing education efforts, preferably in an academic health sciences or life sciences library.
  • Project management experience.
  • Collaborative work with faculty members and staff outside the library.
  • Clinical rounding experience and/or ability to participate as a full team member of a research team.
  • Librarian II: 4-6 years post-graduate academic or research library experience, preferably in an academic health sciences or life sciences library.
  • Librarian III: 6-11 years post-graduate academic or research library experience, preferably in an academic health sciences or life sciences library.
  • Librarian IV: 11+ years post-graduate academic or research library experience, preferably in an academic health sciences or life sciences library.

Minimum Education

  • ALA-accredited degree in library and/or information science, or an equivalent combination of an advanced subject or professional degree combined with relevant academic library experience.
