The Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library has an opening for a Gallery Assistant. We seek an individual who will greet visitors, do light reference work and provide basic information about map exhibitions and the collection, and assist the Research Librarian and Curator with special projects. Previous library or museum work experience is beneficial but not required.  Special interests in geography, history, maps, and mapping technologies such as Google Earth are favorable.
